Et Cetera

After watching Bermuda-Bangladesh match and Australia-South Africa, one got the feeling, India was probably the only team that didn't want to fight. (Pakistan is probably the other one) People who paid money to watch Indian matches didn't get their money's worth even for a single match. Anyway, we lost and end of story.

The best thing to do when everything around you is going wrong is to keep your mouth shut. Try telling this to Sharad Pawar. Next time, Ponting pushes him aside and snaps his finger to call him, I don't think anybody would run to support Pawar or condemn Ponting if one goes by the comments section of this report.

http://existential-me.blogspot.com/2007/03/am-happy-india-is-out-of-world-cup.html (disclosure: shameless advertisement!) I'm sure at least one other person would be happy about India's ouster.

I tend to agree with Mr.Oracle too. As for Pawar's comments about England not winning the Cup, well, let's simply say that the man spoke when his processor (brain) was left at home. Moron!

That Ponting-Pawar issue -- if I remember right it was Gavaskar who first got peeved at what happened and aired it in public. Pawar just jumped on the bandwagon.

In any case, I had a different view about this and am getting pounded in the blogosphere for it.

Oh well...

Syam, ippodhan otthumai varudhu namakkulla.
True KK. What a nutcase! You should know how to pretend like a leader at least.
Thank you MLC.:-)
Oracle, yeah have the pom-poms ready and am cheering for SA from today.
TPI, one other person I dhana?
Right Dilip, Pawar didn't realise it could be contrued as an insult.;-)
AP, to lead a bunch of morons, I guess you need a moron at the top. :-) Serves right.
I, Murali is as much of a thamizhan as an ABCD. He is probably more sinhalese.

What a contrast to Kapil Dev's performance in 1983!. In the match against Zimbabwe it was 17 for 5 when Kapil entered and he took us to the safety of victory. He was not weighed down by captaincy nor was he a much endowed batsman like the ones we have today.
