Poor Kumble

We lost the game against Bangladesh and the Inidan players would've been shocked if there was no backlash, effigy-burning, donkey-naming etc back home. Thats no surprise for any of us, I am sure.

Yeah, but in their enthusiasm to insult the players, people in Patna did something funny.

Fans took out a procession on a donkey to vent their ire against Team India. Organised under the aegis of ‘Cricket Fans Club’, the donkeys named Sehwag, Tendulakar, Harbhajan and Kumble were made to move around Kadamkuan and Patna College with slogan shouting youth following them. It was the same group of people who had performed a ‘Mahayagna’ to ensure a victory for the team.

Yes, Kumble didn't even play the game. He is one unlucky man.

Read the city by city reaction here.

What do you suggest the Karnataka Govt. do now?

a. Declare a state-wide bandh to protest against this unforgivable action.
b. Extend unconditional apology to Kumble and his family and gift a house and/or car and/or land.
c. Prevent Patna people from working in B'lore.
d. All of the above.
e. None of the above.

PS - R.I.P Woolmer. May God give your friends and family a lot of strength.

At one time the Indian team was almost the same as the karnataka team. All of them are good player and have the sportsman spirit.
@i: kannada makkalai pola saadhu makkal paarka mudiyathu.
India beat Bermuda with the required run rate etc. and all the batsmen came good. Yay!

We do not know how to appreciate a game or where to keep the players. One day deify them as Demigods and another day, we kick them. Harbachan just conceded 30 runs in 10 overs, which was less than the Indian batting average. The three fast bowlers accelerated our defeat.
In the match against Bermuda, we have demonstrated our batting prowess again.

I accept that we have demonstrated our batting prowess against Bermuda but the question is can we do the same against Srilanka?we have to wait and watch!

Anon, Jadeja against B'desh?!? Maybe. I am missing Balaji.;-)
I, un veedu enga irukku?
SK, indha win ku ellam yay solla koodadhu.:-)
Mahadevan Sir, if we dont show our "prowess" against Bermuda, what can one say? They are amateurs, they had to apply leave, get a no-objection letter from their employers etc to even attend the world cup. How can we gloat over that win. If anything, Bermuda should be appreciated for their spirit.
Anon, we'll know today.
Anon2, I hope it'd be a happy ending for us.
Dilip, I didn't change any setting. Not sure what the problem is.
