The Move
Moving is no fun. Leaving the familiar area, familiar people, familiar mall etc can be pretty frustrating. Currently I live in an area where you could wait at a light with 10 cars behind you, your car could get stalled just when the light turns green and by the time you start your car and get set to go, the light could turn red again but still people behind you wouldn't honk. That, my friends, is Allentown. When a plane crashed in Pennsylvania on 9/11, no one we knew worried about our safety because they knew the terrorists won't find this place in the map. Years ago when I couldn't appreciate the patience and the politeness of the people here, I used to think people here are too slow and sluggish. Well, coming from Chennai can you blame me for that? I enjoyed this kind of "village" life to the fullest for a while and now we move to a "city" in another state. A city, where cars are redundant, where you'd even get curry leaves (karuveppilai) in the grocery stores (Indian), where you'd get alcohol in normal stores, where people should actually pay to park their cars if they visit you. Its a big change but I am actually looking forward to it. Bye Allentown, Hello Jersey City.

Jersey City is kuppai. Especially Indian Square.
Small town America has a charm on its own. Big N.American cities are infested with halal ghettos and Inhdi speaking monkeys. How much I miss Halifax.. sigh..
moving aint funny. huh, the sudden spaces created u never realy figure out wa to punch in 'em..
my roomie n pal moved ou 2day.. transferred... it was just a quarter of a year but guess... sumthings aint measured by time :)
we al look forward, the eyes n senses are al oriented that way.. buy sumwhere i wish.. sum gud things remain unchanged..
ya with time we all gell into a big ball of crazy collage.. feels a tinge inside wen the shadows are all that remain :)

New place n new environment do give us a boost!!!

Move helps reduce the junk that gets accumulated by itself!
NJ sucks big time
haha... it is indeed tough to move away from such neighbourhood with people of such patience. but, 'karuveppilai' leaves too is not an easily dismissible temptation :P
welcome to the land of patels, beeda shops, hot breads and the unofficial 6th borough of ny.
Must be a big leep forward from a small time town to a chaotic city, Karivepillai in abundance notwithstanding.
Jersey is half India !
Moving can be fun if u want it to!
1st time here. :)

Yup, been there. Somehow do not like New Jersey on the whole. The jug handles, full service gas stations et all. Love Northern Virginia area after living there for sometime. Anyways you have fun in NJ :)
