Dear Departed
The death of Pramod Mahajan is shocking. He remained a would-have-been-good-leader till the end. I wish he had a chance to prove that before this whole drama happened. I thought, he, along with Arun Jaitley and company, made a good team of future BJP. Alas! This had to happen. May his soul rest in peace.
But, when I read this report on The Hindu that said, he was "critical & stable", I hoped and thought he was fine. The Hindu actually made a joke out of this episode with that great headline. Didn't they?

its no joke, the part after the semicolon elaborates on the impression conveyed by using 'critical'. A semicolonised sentence is not a recommended practice but when it is used, the second half should be interpreted in conjunction with the first, you cannot isolate any one half and interpret.

You know Deepz, the official announcement was made at 5pm . The 'official' time of death was 4.10 pm but CNN-IBN scrolled a 'PRAMOD MAHAJAN DEAD' super at 2.10 pm for a few seconds and later withdrew realising the faux pas.
So much in hurry to declare someone dead , eh?

They did that to Murasali Maran too. Rediff happily eulogised him while he was reading it from Houston hospital. Yet, shamelessly they released the same article after his death as if they were waiting for him to die so that they can release the article.
