ARRehman just received 2 Oscars. Thank God for him!! Kudos to you Sir. Loved seeing you there, loved your mention of Chennai and loved the Tamil end-of-speech but hated your speechwriter. Maybe there wasn't one and that is why you said what you said.:-)
Why did you use "Mere paas Maa hain"? It didn't fit in at all!!!!

it looked like he realised that the 'maa' line didn't sound as cool as it was thought to be, even as he was saying it.
but, by inserting the "pugazh-iravan" line, i suppose he can be forgiven by all the people who feel he should have received this award some 15 years back.
the rest don't matter, anyways! right? :-)

For the 2nd award, I liked what he said about choosing love over hate.That seemed straight from the heart..
this movie was in such hype ...even Deva wud have won it if he had scored music for this movie...Oscar is another farce...
.. iam happy for everyone who feels happy for ARR...Our musicians r far above these awards anyway...
