There is a movie called American Desi in which the guy and the girl watch a hindi movie together. The guy is an ABCD and gets frustrated after watching the movie and tells the girl "I've seen porn movies with a better storyline". Since then I've been keeping track of such worse-than-porn movies. And looks like Kabhi Alvida na kehna qualifies as one. I got the following as a FWD and its funny.

Thanks for saving my money and time.. heard the music and thought the movie 'might' be good...
Lesson Learnt over and over again - Indian movies..dont think how good the music is..the movie might still be worse than ever...

Not to be too harsh on the storyline, things like this do happen!
That being said, I am not a fan of Hindi cinema as such :)

What more can you expect from Karan Johar or a non-Aamir hindi movie? Karan Johar fails to realise that he could do better making movies like Brokeback Mountain with Shah Rukh and him as the cast :)

I like this story. How many songs in the movie? Anyday better than one boy, one girl love stories with girl's father as the villain. Sounds like there is a lot of scope for Sharukh's emotion. Kkkkkkk Kiran.

It would def be a hit, no doubt it. There r still fools in our country and abroad who wont mind watching Shah Rukh and Rani in even crap movies...

Deepz, how can you.. i mean how... how .. can you forget Amitabh Bachchan's role in the film?
He's probably a well-wisher of both families.. who has had a similar past.. loved someone* and married someone else#, who died of cancer.. Amitabh bachchan advises both couples with his "is mutti ki aag se ladi hui hoton mein bas yun hi chalta raha.. chalta raha..yeh khwaishein kabhi poori nahin hotee" [yarukkavadu purinjadha? enakku purila]
*Jaya bacchan- guest role and is probably cast as rani or shahrukh's mother in the film.

what? what the heck? A stale story if ever there was one! Just yesterday Is aw some ads on Sony,a nd was thinking hmm.. these characters are all getting stale watching them hash between themselves. It's like a small click SRK, RM, PZ, Saif....

Anusha: There are some good non- aaamir hindi movies that are coming these days.Iqbal,Bluffmaster,Taxi no. ??Lets not generalize that all hindi movies are crap.Given the std of tamil, mal movies coming these days !!!

Deepz: solla marandutten.. inda dialogue-a solli solliye Amitabh mandaya podum.. aduvum mookkula pipe-ellam vecchundu (inda scene a trailor la pottuttan.. ada paatudan sollaren). Shahrukh Khan looks like a kezha-bolt in the trailors with all his narambu podanjufying out of his neck. Did you notice that? Preity zinta ade bonda-bajji vaai-la uttering dialogues.
Btw, inga mumbai mazhaila Aaj Tak channel la enna breaking news teryuma? "Baarish ki vajeh se Kabhi alvida naa kehna shooting cancelled.. Babul film shooting cancelled" .. enakku ida paatutu aart-aataack-e vanduduchu.. aayo Deepa-voda feevarat filim sooting caanceel aagipocheenu..kavala padada kannu.. seekrama padatha release panniduvaan Kkkkaran jogar.. meyyalumadaan!

haha....Truly so. You think...so right, Karan J. should change the way he potrays his individuals and the sad+romantic+sad-sense stories.
And you won't believe it! I haven't seen the movie hehe...I thought Omkaara was fabulous!
